Spring League Information
We are pleased to inform you that your athlete has been selected to join our Development League! Please understand that this is a serious commitment. In order for us to best serve your athlete, we must work together as one unit, all on the same page: Coach, Athlete, and Parent. We ask for your full support as we strive to develop your athlete!
New Athlete Parent Meeting Schedules
Every season we have a New Athlete parent meeting, outlining specific details of our Academy, and what to expect during this seasons Development League such as goals for our league, structure, schedules, as well as answer any questions you may have. This meeting is meant for parents new to Development League, but of course return parents are always welcome. Please see the schedule below to see which group your athlete is in and where they need to go for their parent meeting. Parent meetings will be held on the first day of their league.

Pre-Season Training Schedule
Pre-season will last for two weeks. There will be no game play during this time frame, as we use this time for skill development & game preparation. Athletes will train for two hours for the first two weeks in preparation for games to start the third week of league. The first hour will be skill development work. The second hour will be team based drills, where we implement offensive and defensive systems. Below are the pre-season training schedules:

Game Play & Training Schedule
March 27-29th is when our game play will start. From this point on our days will consist of training for the first hour, followed by game play for the second hour. The athletes will be there for a total of two hours per day. No training or game play during Spring Break: April 13-17th. Final weekend of Spring Development League is June 5-7th.

What to bring?
Each athlete needs to bring a basketball and their LocalHOOPS Development League jersey. Ordered jersey will arrive within 3 weeks. If you already have our white and grey Development League jersey or a LOCALHOOPS practice jersey from a previous season, you are welcome to reuse that. If you are new to the program and need to purchase a jersey ($30.00). These jerseys can be purchased on the fist day of Development League during the parent meeting.

League Emphasis
We will have a Player of Week on our Emphasis points for the league. We will explain the focus of the week during trainings. Coaches will be keeping an eye out for those athletes who go out of their way to work on the concepts we cover. Our league emphasis details will be:
